Medical Hoax

     In this globalization era, human beings that lived on this earth are getting improved and advanced in many ways either in technology or medical. That is to say, we know that our people are getting creative and innovative till some of them have misused their intelligence. So, have you ever heard of "medical hoax"? .What do you think about it? .Medical hoax is a fraud of health service by claiming that the service was effective to heal and to cure the diseases. The truth is, the service is not scientifically proven. But not only that, it was unsafe and ineffective to solve the patient's problems. There are few hoaxes that have been written as histories. To give an illustration, a cockroach pills in 1981. In 1981,Dr. Josef Gregor held a press conference in New York to announce that he had developed a miraculous pill that could cure colds, acne, anemia, and menstrual cramps. It also can let people immune to nuclear radiation. He also asserted that the ingredients of the pills is a hormone that extracted from cockroaches. Gross. So my point is, I want to talk about a medical hoax that may occur or already occurred in any countries, include my country, it's called Sinus Worms.
     Sinus worms have a relation with sinus infection. So, what is sinus infection?. Let me tell you, sinus infection is an inflammation and swelling of the tissue lining  the sinuses. Healthy sinuses are filled with air. But when they are clogged and filled with fluid, germs can grow and cause an infection. Sinus infection was also known as 'Sinustis' and 'Rinosnustis'. To that end, what's the relation between sinustis an sinus worms?. Okay, there are some sources state that these sinus worms are the reason why a person can suffer from sinustis.
     In Malaysia, it is estimated that sixty to 60%-65% Malaysian have suffer from sinustis. That is to say, many Malaysian are having this issue. This also showed that sinus worms hoax could happen Malaysia. Surprisingly, it does happened in Malaysia. This is also means that a lots of Malaysian have been fooled by irresponsible creatures that have told whole Malaysia that sinus problem is caused by sinus worms. These irresponsible creatures have spread this fake medical treatment to whole Malaysia. How did they do that? Why? Based on my research, they have spread this fake medical treatment through mass media. People are 'too genius' that they believe it easily without making any research about it. How could they do this to those innocent people, only for money?
     So, how does this hoax work? It have been viral that this treatment can get rid the sinus worms from our face. This treatment goes with using limes and screw pine. It was said that these two things can get rid the sinus worms from our face. Having sad that, the real things that actually happened is totally opposite. The real treatment is they will use a cockroach as worms. Can you believe that? A cockroach. Well if you don't believe me. you can search it on google or you tube  to find more information about it. When the treatment is undergoing, the cockroach's body will be cut in order to see the content. The content inside cockroach's body will be rubbed on the patient's face. The person who is in charge for doing this treatment will say that the small worms that appeared on the patient's face was the sinus worms that came out from the patient's face. With this in mind, patients will go home with joy that believe that sinus worms has gone.
     Furthermore, there are myriad of reasons why do we have sinus infection. One of the reasons are we are lacking of water. How?. When mucus are trapped in our sinus or our sinus are clogged in a long period of time, mucus that live in our sinus will get dried and it'll getting thicker. That's why our sinus problem can get worse. To that end, we should drink a lots of water. The second reason is because of the air pollution and allergies. Dr Brains said "Breath dirty air are one of the cause why people have sinus problems." Allergies. Some people have their own allergies to something. For instance, some people are allergic toward cat"s fur, dust and seafood. So, if you have any allergies toward anything, you should keep your distance to it. Fungi infection are also one of the reasons why we have sinus problem. Fungi infection usually affect people with weak immune system. When immune system is weak, the fungi will happily growing, especially in a dark places and damp places like sinus. Creepy,isn't it?
     To me, this treatment is truly illogical. Why? Do you know that cockroaches are one of the insects that carries various type of  parasites including virus, bacteria and fungi. There's an experiment that have been done in Africa that involved cockroach's organ and cockroach digestive system. the scientists have prove that parasites were existed inside cockroach. Therefore, even if you rub the cockroach's content, the cockroach will still discharge the worms.
     In conclusion. we shouldn't have believe on something easily. It's 21st century, there are a lots of people have misused technology, intelligence for their own good such as money, fame and joy. So we, being a smart human beings, when we met something new and you are completely ignorant about it. You should do a research in order to prevent us from been fooled. So, as a 21st century earth residents, we should be smart person and an intelligent technology user so we can't easily be fooled.
